Gearing Up For Fall

Hi friends!

This is Matt Stout, the new Director of the Valdosta State University Wesley Foundation. I’m so excited to start at the Wesley and see what God does this semester on our campus. I wanted to give you a little bit about me.

  • I’m a VSU Wesley Alum! I started as a transfer student to Valdosta State in the fall of 2005. I quickly got involved at Wesley, even though I didn’t grow up in the Methodist Church. I made many lifelong friendships at Wesley, met the woman who would become my wife, and totally changed the trajectory of my career because of the VSU Wesley Foundation. After I graduated, my wife Sara Beth and I stuck around as interns for a year. I love the VSU Wesley.

  • I’m also the pastor of Mosaic UMC in Valdosta. Mosaic is a fantastic local church that I am privileged to pastor. You can read more about Mosaic at https://www.mosaicvaldosta.org

  • My family is fantastic. Sara Beth, my wife, is a therapist in Valdosta. I’ve also got three kids and a dog. Here’s a picture of our dog Dodger:
